Qatari Official Addresses Palestine at United Nations Conference
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Al Jazeera, Mohammed Al-Khalifi, Qatar’s Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, outlined Doha’s position during the United Nations meeting aimed at peacefully resolving the Palestinian issue and implementing the two-state solution.
He stated that Qatar strives to strengthen peace and justice through dialogue and coexistence. Proposed measures to achieve peace must align with international principles, laws, and the framework of a two-state solution.
Al-Khalifi emphasized that building trust requires adherence to humanitarian standards and firm action against hate speech narratives.
he expressed hope that this conference would support establishing an independent Palestinian state within the 1967 borders.
The international conference on the two-state solution for Palestine is co-chaired by France and Saudi Arabia. It officially began today, Monday, at the United Nations headquarters in New York and will last for two days.
The conference is being held at the foreign minister level. Its second phase will convene at either heads-of-state level during this year’s UN General Assembly sessions in New York or in Paris during the last week of September. originally scheduled from June 17 to 20, it was postponed due to conflict between Iran and Israel.
