Details of Hamas’ Anti-Zionist Operation in Khan Yunis

Israeli media have released new details about today’s ⁤Hamas operation‌ in Khan Younis.

The English section of webangah News Agency, citing Palestinian Shehab News Agency via Mehr News Agency,​ reported that Hebrew-language outlets revealed Hamas militants⁢ attempted to capture Israeli soldiers in Rafah this morning.

The attack targeted a ‌Kfir Brigade position north of Rafah. Approximately⁤ 15 Hamas fighters launched a two-pronged assault on the ⁢combat team’s bunker 900.

The raid left several Israeli soldiers wounded and evacuated by helicopter to military hospitals. Reports indicate at least one soldier ⁣is in critical condition.

Israeli Radio also confirmed that‍ a large group of militants tried to infiltrate an advanced​ army post.

According to the⁤ report, the attack occured around 9 a.m., carried out ⁢by more ‌than ten militants ‍at​ a ‍site near Khan Younis.

The Hamas fighters engaged ⁣the ‍Israeli‌ forces for over half⁤ an hour, firing with machine guns and RPG rocket launchers.

Israeli Radio stated that attackers emerged from one of the tunnels and ⁢reached the ‌entrance of an ⁤army position, engaging soldiers at close range within zero distance ‌from their base.

The radio estimated that militants aimed to enter⁤ the position ‍and capture israeli troops alive.

KAN Hebrew network reported that between​ 14 and⁤ 20 Palestinian resistance fighters exited a‌ tunnel near Israeli army positions and targeted occupiers with anti-tank ‌rockets and ⁤automatic firearms firepower.

KAN correspondent Itay Blumental ⁣claimed direct clashes resulted in at ⁤least ⁣eight⁤ resistance fighters killed, while others managed⁢ to retreat successfully.

He added that the Israeli army⁢ responded by deploying helicopters⁤ and⁢ tanks, shelling areas surrounding Rafah; however, final casualty figures from airstrikes remain unclear. Ground and air forces continue search-and-clear operations in the area.
