Iran Inflicts Latest Blow to Tel Aviv’s Economy; $100 Million in Damages Remain
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, quoting Mehr News Agency and Russia Al-Youm, the Israeli airline El Al announced in its latest financial report on Thursday that it has incurred significant losses of $100 million due to military clashes with Iran.
The report states that these damages resulted from confrontations with Iran and the consequent closure of Israeli airspace, leading to a total loss estimated at $100 million.
El Al’s revenues have declined over recent months, with net profits dropping by approximately 55 percent.
Earlier this week, the Israeli website Calcalist reported that another Israeli carrier, Israir Airlines, faced financial losses of about $10.4 million in the second quarter of 2025 due to suspended flights amid ongoing war against Iran.
This is a stark contrast to Israir’s performance during the same period last year when it recorded profits exceeding $7 million.
