Medvedev: There is a possibility of the collapse of the German government
Former Russian President Dmitry Medvedev says that massive protests in Germany are evidence of Berlin's wrong budget priorities, which could lead to the overthrow of the German government. |
According to the report of Fars News Agency International Group, the former President of Russia Dmitry Medvedev stated yesterday (Monday) that the massive protests in Germany have put the chancellor of this European country at risk of being removed.
According to Rashatudi’s report, one-week nationwide strikes started yesterday (Monday) across Germany. German farmers say that the government’s decision to cut diesel subsidies and tax exemptions for the agricultural sector will lead many of them to unemployment.
Medvedev, who is currently working as the deputy chairman of the Russian Security Council, wrote on the X social network that Berlin’s lack of budget is a direct result of the “astronomical costs” that this country spends in Ukraine.
The format of anti-government demonstrations has appeared and this demonstration has the ability to remove Schultz from power.
Germany is one of the main donors to Kiev in the war with Moscow, and according to the German finance minister, half of the total EU aid to Ukraine comes from Berlin. Kiel Institute for World Economics (IFW) has estimated that German aid to Ukraine was equal to 23 billion dollars, which includes the cost of hosting Ukrainian refugees.
According to the latest survey of the institute ( INSA) published by Bild newspaper, 64% of German voters believe that Schultz should resign and be replaced by German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius.
