, Florida Republicans have fired their chairman, Christine Ziegler, over allegations of sexual assault.
Florida Republicans in a post on Social X wrote: They chose Ivan Power, who has been the party’s deputy, to replace Christian Ziegler, who was accused of sexually assaulting a woman in October.
According to this report, Ziggler has not yet commented on this matter, but has previously denied any accusations in this regard.
GOP leaders, including Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, had called for Christian Ziegler to be fired long before the revelations.
DeSantis, who according to polls has a significant gap with his rival, Donald Trump, in most states of the United States, said about the dismissal of Ziegler: “We cannot have a president who is under this type of legal investigation.”
Bridget Ziegler, the wife of Christine Ziegler, who co-founded the conservative group Libertarian Mothers, has not been charged with any criminal wrongdoing in the case. Since the revelations of the scandals, he has stepped down from the leadership of the conservative nonprofit group, but remains a member of the Syracota School District Board of Trustees in Florida, even as other board members have called on him to resign, telling him that “this The sexual scandal has caused problems for this school”.
