Europe Plans Deployment of Over 10,000 Troops to Ukraine
The English section of webangah News Agency, quoting Mehr News Agency, reported that the Wall Street journal cited an informed source stating Steve Wittkoff, Donald Trump’s special envoy, has told european leaders that Trump is prepared to hold a trilateral summit with Vladimir putin and Volodymyr Zelensky, the presidents of Russia and Ukraine.
The wall Street journal also quoted a European diplomat saying that European military commanders have developed a detailed plan for deploying ground forces in Ukraine. This plan involves commitments to station over 10,000 troops in the country.
The report added that air patrols over Ukraine will be launched by forces stationed outside its borders.
Europe’s intent to send troops comes amid U.S. claims of negotiations with Russia aimed at achieving a ceasefire and ending the war in Ukraine. Recently, Trump and Putin met on this matter.
