Qatar Prime Minister: We Will Take Necessary Measures to Preserve Our Sovereignty
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Al Jazeera, Qatar’s Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani, who is visiting the United States, met with the U.S. Vice President and Secretary of State.
The U.S. Vice President emphasized his country’s solidarity with Qatar during this meeting and stated that diplomacy remains capable of resolving outstanding issues.
He also stressed that Qatar is a strategic and reliable ally for the United States.
The Qatari Prime Minister reaffirmed that his country will take all necessary actions to protect its sovereignty amid the Israeli regime’s attack.
On Tuesday, Israeli forces shelled a location in Doha where Hamas leaders were holding a meeting to discuss former U.S. President Donald trump’s proposal aimed at advancing negotiations.
Although none of the Hamas leaders were harmed in the strike, several Hamas members and civilians-including one Qatari citizen-were killed.
