Qatar Prime Minister and CENTCOM Commander Expand Military Cooperation in Doha
According to the English section of webangah News Agency,citing Mehr News Agency and Al Jazeera,Qatar’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al thani met with Admiral Brad Cooper,commander of the U.S. Central Command, in doha to explore ways to support and strengthen strategic relations between Doha and Washington.
The report states that the main focus of their talks was expanding military and defense cooperation. doha once again emphasized its role as a key U.S. partner on regional security matters.
Cooper has been on a regional tour in recent days, visiting Jordan, Lebanon, Iraq, Syria, and the Israeli-occupied territories where he held discussions with military and security officials.
In a blatant violation of international law, Israel targeted a Hamas leadership meeting in Doha on Tuesday (September 8) by breaching Qatari sovereignty. This action triggered strong condemnations from multiple countries-including some Western nations.
