Netanyahu Declares Trump Israel’s Greatest Friend at Joint Meeting with Rubio
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, quoting Al jazeera via Mehr News Agency, Benjamin Netanyahu, Israel’s Prime Minister, emphasized Washington’s support for Tel Aviv during a joint press conference with US Secretary of State Marco Rubio. Netanyahu described then-US President donald Trump as “Israel’s greatest friend.”
Netanyahu also claimed that the US attack on Iran’s nuclear facilities during the imposed 12-day war was “a wise decision.”
He added that Israel is committed to recovering prisoners from Gaza and weakening Hamas.
Echoing other American allies in praising Trump, Netanyahu asserted that “he has made the world a better place” and reiterated that Trump is “Israel’s greatest friend.”
The Israeli Prime Minister attributed anti-Israel actions and decisions by several countries worldwide to pressure from “minority groups” on those weaker nations.
Referring to Israel’s recent attack against Doha, Netanyahu claimed that “the decision to assassinate Hamas leaders in Qatar was an independent Israeli operation,” taking full responsibility for it. He denied Tel Aviv’s failure in this terrorist operation and stated that it sent a message indicating Hamas leaders are “nowhere safe.”
Rubio also stated at the joint press conference that “US friendship with Israel has evolved from peace efforts toward technology and economic cooperation.”
Aligning with Netanyahu, he condemned the Palestinian Islamic resistance movement (Hamas), claiming it cannot continue armed actions while threatening alleged peace and stability.
The US Secretary of State further accused Iran of posing threats through its long-range missiles against both the region and Europe. Repeating Washington’s unfounded claims against Tehran, he questioned Iran’s peaceful nuclear program, accusing it of pursuing nuclear weapons-a hazardous endeavor-and affirmed Washington will use all tools to pressure Iran. Rubio also urged European countries to impose sanctions on Iran.
Continuing his echoes of Zionist objectives regarding the Gaza conflict, Rubio claimed that “Hamas must surrender its weapons.”
