Putin Inspects Main Phase of Zapad 2025 Exercise + Video
according to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing RIA Novosti, Russian President Vladimir Putin visited the site for the main phase of the Zapad-2025 military exercises on Tuesday.
The exercise aims to train forces from Russia and Belarus to defend against any form of aggression.
The drills are being conducted across 41 training ranges, involving 100,000 military personnel and approximately 10,000 weapon systems and pieces of equipment.
More than 248 ships, submarines, and support vessels are participating in the exercises.

Earlier, Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko announced that during their joint exercises with Russia, both countries would test tactical nuclear missiles as well as Moscow’s “Orushnik” missile system.
Russia used Orushnik missiles for the frist time last year in the Ukraine conflict. The five-day joint Minsk-Moscow drills code-named “Zapad,” which began on September 12, conclude today. The exercise’s stated purpose is to demonstrate strength while testing combat readiness between the two nations.
