UK Conducts First Air Mission Over Poland as Part of Operation Eastern Guard
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Reuters via Mehr News Agency, British fighter jets have carried out their inaugural patrol over Poland as part of the NATO operation “Enhanced Vigilance.”
London had previously announced the deployment of Royal Air Force Typhoon fighters to NATO’s eastern flank under Operation enhanced Vigilance, citing the need to counter Russian threats.
Following poland’s accusation that russian drones violated its airspace, NATO-of which Warsaw is a member-initiated Operation Enhanced Vigilance.
UK defense Secretary Ben Wallace asserted that this mission highlights London’s commitment to NATO and stated: “This operation sends a clear signal that we will defend NATO airspace.”
