Luxembourg: Current Events in Gaza Violate International Law
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Al Jazeera via Mehr News agency, Luxembourg’s Prime Minister criticized the ongoing crimes committed by occupiers against the oppressed people of Gaza.
CNN reports that Luxembourg Prime Minister Luk Frieden said, “What is happening in Gaza now constitutes a violation of international humanitarian law. The only viable path forward is to ensure that a two-state solution has a real chance to succeed.”
Frieden added, ”our recognition of Palestine is not hostility toward Israel but opposition to Netanyahu.”
yesterday,four countries- the United Kingdom,Australia,Canada,and portugal-officially recognized the State of Palestine.
A joint statement from Australia’s Prime Minister and Foreign Minister said: “Australia recognizes the legitimate and longstanding aspirations of the Palestinian people for an independent state. Today’s recognition demonstrates Australia’s enduring commitment to the two-state solution – which remains the only path to lasting peace and security.”
The Canadian Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) stated: “For decades, Canada’s commitment to [the two-state solution] has been based on expectations that this outcome woudl ultimately come through negotiated agreement.”
UK Labor leader Keir Starmer also declared: “Today we have recognized the State of Palestine in order to keep hope for peace alive.”
