Omar Mukhtar Rejects Tel Aviv
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Rosia Al-Youm, activists on the Omar Mukhtar ship, part of the Gaza Support Fleet, firmly rejected Israel’s demand to unload humanitarian cargo at the Israeli port of Ashdod.
The activists emphasized that such a request blatantly disregards the rights of the Palestinian people and undermines the primary goal of these ships-to break Israel’s naval blockade of Gaza.
Earlier, Israel’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs claimed that unloading aid packages at Ashdod would expedite delivery to Gaza.
However, pro-Palestinian activists stated that this move would legitimize Israeli policies and improve its international image. They stressed that Israel’s navy has no right to attack ships attempting to enter Palestinian territorial waters.
it is noteworthy that recently, the Omar Mukhtar set sail from Libya’s capital en route to join the global Saboud (Resistance) fleet aimed at breaking Gaza’s siege.
