Zelensky: Ukraine Received Patriot System from Israel
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and al Jazeera, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated on Saturday that Ukraine has received the Patriot defense system from Israel. He added that the system has already been deployed and active in Ukraine for a month, with two additional systems on their way.
Zelenskyy further alleged that on September 10, Russia launched an attack involving 92 drones targeting Poland. Only 19 drones managed to cross into Polish territory; the rest were shot down by Ukrainian forces. He also accused Hungary of “engaging in highly risky activities,” mainly against itself, by surveilling Ukrainian territory with drones.
The president issued a warning toward Russia, claiming: “If Russia threatens Kyiv with power cuts, it should be prepared for Moscow to experience similar outages.”
He continued: Ukraine has submitted an arms request worth $90 billion to former U.S.President Trump but remains open to separate deals, including negotiations regarding Tomahawk missiles. Additionally, Ukraine and the United States have begun preliminary discussions on a bilateral free trade agreement. Zelenskyy did not rule out the possibility of U.S. withdrawal from future negotiations between Ukraine and Russia.
