Medvedev Issues Ambiguous Warning on Potential Moscow-Brussels Conflict
Dmitry Medvedev, Russia’s Deputy Security Council Chairman, warned of a potential conflict between Russia and Europe, despite considering such a war unlikely, according to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and TASS.
In a post on his Telegram channel, Medvedev stated, “Although war between Russia and Europe seems unlikely, Russia must remain vigilant.”
He added, “Every newsstand in Europe is selling scenarios of a war with russia within the next five years. This is not possible. Though, there is always a chance of a deadly incident. Therefore, we must stay alert.”
The former Russian president further noted that such tensions carry “a real risk of escalating into a war involving weapons of mass destruction.”
