Pushkov: Putin to Visit Tajikistan for Russia-Arab States Summit
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News agency and Sputnik, Kremlin advisor Yuri Ushakov announced Tuesday that President Vladimir Putin will visit Tajikistan from October 8 to 10. During this trip, he will attend the second Russia-Central Asia summit as well as a meeting of leaders from the Commonwealth of Autonomous States (CIS).Putin and Emomali Rahmon are set to discuss a wide range of bilateral cooperation issues in Tajikistan.
Ushakov added that during Putin’s visit to dushanbe, matters concerning Russian cooperation with Central Asian countries across various fields will be addressed. At the conclusion of talks, Putin and Rahmon will sign a joint declaration aimed at strengthening Russia-Tajikistan relations. In total, 15 agreements covering diverse sectors are expected to be signed by both presidents.
Moreover, Ushakov stated that regional security issues will be discussed at the Russia-Central Asia summit, taking into account developments in West Asia (the Middle East) and Afghanistan. Moscow has invited leaders from 22 countries along with the Secretary-General of the Arab League to attend the inaugural Russia-Arab States summit in Moscow. Work is underway on former President Trump’s plan for resolving Gaza’s situation, with many invitees connected to this initiative.
