These sources ⁤stated that there is a positive approach but⁤ some disagreements remain. optimism exists about reaching an agreement. Critical ⁣hours lie ahead.

Meanwhile, Egyptian ‌sources reported that Egyptian and⁢ Qatari mediators, after meeting with⁤ the Hamas ‌delegation,⁢ entered consultative‌ sessions with American mediators and the Israeli team. ⁣These meetings are taking place in Sharm El-Sheikh, egypt.

Alongside these ‍consultations, ⁣positive​ news came from⁣ U.S. officials. One American ‌official told Sky News Arabia: “We are optimistic about the possibility of reaching​ an​ agreement on Gaza in ⁣the near future.”

Additionally, ​a White House official told this Emirati outlet that technical negotiations in Sharm El-sheikh have reached a sensitive and decisive stage.

Hamas emphasizes release of Marwan Barghouti⁣ and Ahmad Sa’adat

Among Hamas’s main demands for⁣ a prisoner exchange deal ⁤with Israel ⁢are two prominent Palestinian ⁢figures whose release is crucial for the movement: Marwan Barghouti and Ahmad Sa’adat.

Hamas strongly insists on freeing⁣ Marwan Barghouti. Once leader of Fatah’s military⁢ wing, he was sentenced to five life terms⁤ plus 40 years. Barghouti was one of the principal leaders ​of the Second Intifada and was arrested⁤ by‍ Israeli forces during Operation Defensive Shield in April‌ 2002 in Ramallah.

Ahmad Sa’adat is another ⁣detainee whose freedom Hamas seeks. He⁢ is ​secretary-general of the Popular ⁣Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) and is held responsible for assassinating Israeli​ Minister Rehavam Ze’evi. Sa’adat received a 30-year sentence and has been imprisoned since 2006.
