Netanyahu: The Agreement Was Not Easy, and I Faced Great Pressure
According to the English section of webangah news Agency, citing Al Jazeera via Mehr News Agency, Benjamin Netanyahu, Prime Minister of the Israeli regime, announced the implementation of a ceasefire agreement in Gaza. Two years after failing to free Israeli captives through military means, Netanyahu promised their families that all prisoners would be returned without exception.He asserted, “We keep our promise.”
Netanyahu, who ultimately had to negotiate with Hamas for the prisoners’ release, saeid: “This was not an easy task; I faced immense pressure from both domestic and international fronts.My focus has always been on Israel’s security, securing the return of captives, and confronting Iranian rockets and its proxy force Hamas. I have consistently stated that captives cannot be returned without addressing Hamas.”
He also claimed: “Israel is pressuring Hamas to proceed with further steps in the agreement and its disarmament. Previously, Hamas refused to release prisoners but agreed once it felt increasingly encircled.”
The Prime Minister of the Israeli regime-who faces pressure from both international communities and domestic circles accusing him of obstructing progress toward a ceasefire-added: “Anyone claiming this deal was previously on the table is lying.”
