Witkoff Announces Start of 72-Hour Deadline for Israeli Prisoners’ Release
According to the english section of webangah News Agency,citing Mehr News Agency and Al Jazeera,Steve Whitcuff,US Special Envoy for Middle East Affairs,stated that the Israeli army has completed its initial withdrawal phase from Gaza as part of the ceasefire deal. He also confirmed that a 72-hour period for releasing Israeli prisoners has started.
Whitcuff indicated that Israeli captives are expected to be freed by midday Monday.
Avihai Dorin, spokesperson for the Israeli military, saeid that occupying forces are positioned along the yellow line within Gaza. He confirmed that the 72-hour deadline is underway and by its end, their prisoners will be released.”We are preparing to welcome home those who were held in gaza,” he added.
The Israeli regime had previously announced that enforcement of the ceasefire began at 12:00 PM today. Occupying army forces have deployed according to new positions outlined in the ceasefire agreement.
