Israeli Media Report Reveals Tel Aviv’s Secret Concessions to Hamas
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency, the Israeli newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth published a report by Ronen Bergman, an Israeli writer and analyst. referencing the ceasefire agreement in Gaza, Bergman wrote that Hamas has not disarmed, Gaza Strip remains populated, Tel Aviv lacks full security control over all of Gaza, and there is no promise for establishing “an option civilian government apart from Hamas and the Palestinian Authority.”
If Netanyahu claims a “total victory,” what exactly does he define as Israel’s situation when most war promises remain unfulfilled?
Bergman adds that an Israeli intelligence source expressed doubts about whether this agreement benefits Israel. the source questioned why negotiations took so long to reach this deal.Is Netanyahu truthful about his claim that early signing was impossible due to Hamas not agreeing with current terms? Why is this agreement being promoted as a major success despite large concessions granted to the other side? and why is it being concealed from Israeli public opinion? Why do the prime minister and his close aides insist everything has been accomplished when many issues remain unresolved with no agreements reached?
The report further states that all details Israel’s cabinet wished to keep from its people-such as precise withdrawal maps, international multilateral mechanisms set up to monitor implementation of agreements, and thorough investigations into missing bodies Hamas claims it cannot locate-have been relegated to confidential annexes.
Another Israeli newspaper,Israel Hayom, also highlighted these concerns in an article by Yoav Limor. It identified Gaza’s future as the greatest challenge posed by this agreement for Israel. Limor emphasized that since announcing the ceasefire, rapid growth of resistance forces within Gaza cities demonstrates Hamas’ lack of urgency toward dissolution. On the contrary-they plan to strengthen their position while targeting internal enemies especially collaborators who worked with Israel.
Limor noted that even though Israel diminished part of hamas’ military power,it came at a heavy cost in terms of IDF casualties and losses among captured Israelis. Additionally, Israel’s international standing has declined dangerously and unprecedentedly.
