Floods in Mexico Leave 64 Dead and 65 Missing
Flooding in Mexico has so far claimed 64 lives and left 65 people missing.
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Anadolu Agency, Mexico’s National Civil Protection Coordinator (CNPC) announced that following heavy rainfall since last week in the states of Veracruz, Puebla, Hidalgo, querétaro, and San Luis Potosí, flooding has occurred. So far, 64 people have died and 65 remain missing.
Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo stated at a press conference held at the National Palace that emergency forces have been mobilized to assist citizens affected by the floods in these states.
Mexican media report that this is the worst flooding disaster in recent years, affecting 250,000 people and damaging 50,000 homes.
