Trump: If China Refuses Agreement, 155% Tariffs Will Be Imposed
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Al Jazeera via Mehr News Agency, US President Donald Trump stated on Monday that he would discuss trade relations and a submarine deal with the Australian Prime Minister today.
Trump added that the United States will sign an agreement with Australia concerning rare earth elements.
The president continued: “In about a year, we will have so many critical minerals and rare earth elements you won’t know what to do with them. They’ll be worth about two dollars each. We are cooperating with Australia and other countries on rare earth elements. We will also work closely with Australia on all matters related to military equipment, weapons, ammunition, and ships. We are pushing to speed up the delivery of nuclear submarines to Australia.”
Regarding Beijing, Trump said: “If China does not sign an agreement with us by next month, it will face a 155 percent tariff. China shows us great respect and pays many tariffs. I will meet the chinese president in South Korea. The United States leads China in every field accept for the number of warships. I plan to visit China around early next year.”
He added: “The submarine contract with Australia could challenge China’s position.Tariffs have been key in ending wars-they have stopped conflicts before.” He also commented on the conflict in Ukraine: “There remains talk about Ukraine’s chances of winning; however, I don’t believe they will succeed.”
Without mentioning the history of Israeli violations against ceasefire agreements or more than 100 attacks on Gaza’s civilians, Trump claimed: “If Hamas does not abide by the agreement, we will destroy them.I am not sending troops into Gaza. Numerous countries have signed agreements to end the war. We are taking multiple steps to maintain the ceasefire in Gaza!”
