Turkey to Host Gaza Meeting Next Monday

According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and al Jazeera, Turkey’s Foreign Minister announced that next Monday, Ankara will host a meeting with foreign ministers from countries that met with U.S. President Donald Trump last September in New York to discuss developments in Gaza.
Speaking at a press conference in Ankara, Hakan Fidan said attendees will review updates related to the ceasefire agreement in Gaza and plan for the next phase ther.
Fidan expressed Turkey’s concerns about maintaining the ceasefire in Gaza and added that negotiations are ongoing regarding establishing a special group for Gaza as well as deploying a stabilization force in the strip. The current discussions focus on advancing toward this second phase-the deployment of peacekeeping forces inside Gaza.
This statement comes amid Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s recent rejection of any Turkish security role within Gaza as part of a U.S.-backed ceasefire monitoring mission.
It is worth noting that President Donald Trump met on September 25 during the 79th UN General Assembly session in New York with leaders from nine Arab and Islamic countries to discuss Gaza’s future following the conflict.
