Israeli General: IDF Is Aging and Has Numerous Weaknesses

According to the English section of webangah News Agency,citing Mehr News Agency and Arabic 21,Ishaq Barak,a retired general of the Israeli regime’s army,acknowledged in an article published by Ma’ariv newspaper that Israel’s military lacks sufficient troop numbers,desirable technologies,and quality to confront a regional war.
he added that the size of the ground forces has shrunk to one-third compared to 20 years ago.It appears that Tel Aviv faces shortages in both military personnel and specialists skilled in repairing combat equipment. The remaining forces are fatigued due to continuous clashes.
Barak emphasized that Israel’s home front-which is expected to be a central battlefield-is unprepared. notably, there is no specific institution or authority capable of managing wartime conditions. Furthermore, the Israeli army has focused most investments on fighter jets while neglecting other critical areas such as missiles, drones, laser equipment, and more.
He also stated that recently many trained officers and soldiers have left the Israeli army for various reasons including low salaries and rising conflicts.
