UN: 127 Civilians Killed in Lebanon Since Ceasefire Began

According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr news Agency and Russia Al-Youm, the United Nations Human Rights Office reported today that at least 127 civilians have lost their lives in Lebanon since the ceasefire took effect.
Thamin Al-Khaitan, spokesperson for the UN Human Rights Office, said at a press conference in Geneva: “Almost one year has passed since the ceasefire agreement between Lebanon and Israel, yet we continue to witness increased Israeli military attacks. These operations have caused civilian casualties and damage to civilian infrastructure across Lebanon. They are accompanied by alarming threats of a broader and intensified offensive.”
He added that these figures represent confirmed cases based on a rigorous methodology but noted the actual numbers might potentially be higher.
This comes as Lebanon’s Ministry of Health announced earlier on Tuesday that 331 people had been killed and 945 injured since the ceasefire began.
The report was released two days after a prominent hezbollah commander and four others were assassinated in Beirut’s Dahieh district by Israeli forces.
