Vitkoff: U.S. Peace Plan for Ukraine Will Prevent Future Wars

According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency, the American newspaper Wall street Journal quoted Steve Witkoff, the U.S. president’s special envoy for Ukraine, as saying that if Washington’s peace plan is accepted, the initiative could prevent new conflicts and pave the way for economic partnerships between the United States, Russia, and Ukraine.
Witkoff expressed hope that these three countries would eventually establish sustainable economic relations.
Previously, the United States proposed a 28-point plan to end the war in Ukraine. The plan faced strong criticism from Kyiv and some European partners, prompting efforts for critically important revisions. On November 23rd in Geneva, U.S.and Ukrainian officials held consultations on this proposal.Ukrainian media reported that both sides agreed on most points but left several issues pending for review at a future meeting between the presidents of the United States and Ukraine-a meeting whose date has yet to be set.
On Tuesday, Donald trump announced that a new version of the plan had been reduced from 28 points to 22.
