Turkey Reports Another Attack on Oil Tanker in the Black Sea

According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Moscow Times, turkey’s Ministry of Transport reported that one of two empty oil tankers hit by explosions late Friday in the Black Sea was attacked again on Saturday morning.
The ministry claimed that drones were responsible for the incident.
In a message posted on social media platform X, Turkey’s Ministry of Transport stated that the tanker Virat, previously reported to have been attacked by unmanned maritime vehicles about 35 nautical miles off the Black Sea coast, was once again targeted by drones Saturday morning.
The ministry added that the tanker sustained only minor damage on its starboard side and none of its 20 crew members were injured.
this follows Friday evening reports from Turkey’s Ministry of Transport confirming explosions on two empty oil tankers, Virat and Kairos, in Turkish waters without any casualties.
Turkey noted that Kairos was en route to Novorossiysk port in the Black Sea-a major Russian oil terminal-which suspended operations early Saturday after a drone attack.
It has been alleged that both tankers, flying Gambia flags where explosions occurred, belong to Russia’s shadow fleet.
