Honduras Election Preliminary Results: Trump-Backed Candidate Leads

According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News agency and the Associated Press, early results from Honduras’ presidential election indicate that two conservative party candidates are ahead of the ruling party’s nominee. Vote counting covered approximately 43 percent of precincts as of Monday morning.

The left-wing Liberty and Refoundation Party, which currently governs Honduras, published a survey stating that their candidate moncada was leading in the election.
The general elections took place on Sunday, November 30. In addition to electing a president and three vice presidents, voters selected 128 members of Congress, 20 representatives to Central America’s Parliament (PARLACEN), as well as 298 mayors and over 2,000 local council members.
