Report: Trump’s Gaza Plan Could Displace Palestinians, Solidify Israeli Control

A new report by the Euro-Mediterranean Human Rights Monitor alleges that former U.S. President Donald Trump’s plan for Gaza would displace Palestinians and consolidate long-term Israeli control through illegal annexation and collective confinement.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, the Euro-Mediterranean Human Rights Monitor has revealed details of former U.S. President Donald Trump’s Gaza plan, suggesting it could lead to the displacement of Palestinians from their homes.

The report asserts that the plan would solidify long-term illegal control, land annexation through force, and unlawful collective confinement of civilians.

According to the human rights organization’s statement, the plan would allocate more than half of the Gaza Strip to a closed military zone under Israeli army control. Within this zone, strict military management and surveillance systems would be imposed, creating an environment of restricted movement and controlled essential services.

The Euro-Mediterranean Human Rights Monitor states that the first phase of the plan involves dividing the Gaza Strip into a red zone, comprising 47% of Gaza’s area and housing the majority of civilians, and a green zone, covering 53% and under full Israeli military control.

The plan aligns with Israeli efforts to exert full control over the Gaza coastline, transforming it into a closed zone under direct Israeli economic and security dominance, effectively seizing Gaza’s marine resources.

Trump’s plan aims to re-engineer the demographic composition and redraw the demographic and political map by separating densely populated Gazan communities and segregating the population based on security and political considerations. It includes establishing container-based settlements in the green zone, each housing approximately 25,000 people in an area less than one square kilometer.

Information in the Euro-Mediterranean Human Rights Monitor’s report indicates that engineering units responsible for the plan have begun preparing engineering designs for an initial pilot city in Rafah, awaiting funding to commence on-site implementation.

The Euro-Mediterranean Human Rights Monitor concludes its report by stating that the United Nations and states party to the Geneva Conventions must reject any plan or field arrangements that perpetuate Israeli control or reproduce it as transitional zones in Gaza.
