Yemeni Foreign Ministry Discusses Peace Efforts with UN Envoy

Yemen’s Deputy Foreign Minister, Abdulwahid Abu Ras, held a video conference with Hans Grundberg, the UN Secretary-General’s Special Envoy, to discuss the peace process in Yemen. The discussion took place amidst recent developments, including Saudi Arabia’s actions within the framework of U.S. policies.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Deputy Foreign Minister of Yemen, Abdulwahid Abu Ras, engaged in a video conference call with Hans Grundberg, the Special Envoy of the UN Secretary-General, to discuss the latest developments in Yemen, particularly concerning Saudi Arabia’s activities allegedly aligned with U.S. policies.

During the conversation, Abu Ras expressed gratitude for Grundberg’s efforts to advance the peace process in Yemen, reiterating the Yemeni government’s support for these initiatives. He stated that Sanaa remains committed to peace and that the time has come to resume political resolutions, implement roadmaps, and fulfill humanitarian obligations.

Grundberg briefed the Yemeni official on the outcomes of his recent meetings with various parties and permanent members of the Security Council. He affirmed that the United Nations and the international community are deeply focused on achieving peace in Yemen and ending the suffering of its people.
