UNIFIL: Israel Violated Resolution 1701 with Airstrikes in Southern Lebanon

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, UNIFIL stated that the previous day’s Israeli airstrikes within their area of operations in southern Lebanon breached Resolution 1701.
UNIFIL also reported that one of its patrols was targeted by gunfire near the town of Bint Jbeil in southern Lebanon, though no peacekeepers were injured in the incident.
“We urge the Israeli army to use the existing communication and coordination mechanisms,” UNIFIL stated, adding, “We continue to monitor the situation in southern Lebanon and support Lebanon and Israel in implementing Resolution 1701.”
The Israeli regime has continued to violate the ceasefire, disregarding international rules and regulations by targeting the Mahrouna area in Tyre, Lebanon.
Prior to this, the Zionist regime targeted the Nabi Chit area in Beqaa in eastern Lebanon with a drone.
Israeli forces also attacked the Al-Shaara Janta area in Baalbek in eastern Lebanon and conducted an airstrike on a building in Jbaa in southern Lebanon.
