US Admits Failure of Efforts Against Iraqi Resistance Groups

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, the U.S. State Department has admitted that Washington’s efforts against resistance groups in Iraq have failed. The spokesperson voiced disappointment that the Iraqi government has not succumbed to White House pressure to freeze the assets of Hezbollah and Ansarallah.
The spokesperson claimed that the U.S. expects Baghdad to take practical measures against armed groups. “We are disappointed by Iraq’s retreat from the decision to block the assets of Lebanese Hezbollah and the Houthis (Ansarallah of Yemen),” the spokesperson said.
The U.S. official alleged that these groups are dangerous to the region and the world and that all countries must ensure that their territory is not used by these groups for training purposes, fundraising, accessing weapons, or carrying out attacks.
The State Department spokesperson reiterated that Washington continues to pressure Iraq to limit the activities of resistance groups, claiming these groups pose a threat to U.S. and Iraqi interests.
