Tel Aviv Accused of Expanding Occupied Territories in Gaza

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, displaced Palestinians who were sheltering in a United Nations-affiliated school claim they found themselves within areas occupied by Israeli forces, designated as the ‘yellow line’.
The Palestinian refugees stated that Israeli troops relocated concrete blocks marking the ‘yellow line’ in the Gaza Strip, thus extending their occupied territory in Bani Suheila, east of Khan Yunis.
The previous day, the spokesperson for the United Nations Secretary-General stated that the international body firmly opposes any alterations to Gaza’s borders, including occupied territories.
Stephane Dujarric made these remarks during a daily press briefing in response to statements made by Eyal Zamir, the Chief of Staff of the Israeli army.
Zamir had previously stated that the ‘yellow line’ designates the new border of the Gaza Strip.
Dujarric emphasized that such statements contradict the spirit and text of the peace plan proposed by U.S. President Donald Trump.
He clarified that when referring to Gaza, the United Nations only recognizes the existing borders between Gaza and the occupied territories, not the ‘yellow line’.
Reports indicate that the ‘yellow line’ is the line to which the Israeli army retreated as part of the initial phase of Trump’s plan to end the conflict in Gaza.
