Trump Claims He’ll End Thailand-Cambodia Conflict Amid Renewed Border Clashes

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Donald Trump has asserted his intention to end the border conflict between Thailand and Cambodia, stating he would make a phone call to resolve the ongoing disputes.
Speaking at a rally in Pennsylvania, Trump claimed to have ended eight wars in the past ten months. He specifically addressed the renewed tensions between Cambodia and Thailand, stating, “Today, tensions on the Cambodia-Thailand border have restarted, and I have to call to stop the war between these two powerful countries!”
The border disputes have reportedly displaced over 500,000 people in both countries, with each side accusing the other of violating the ceasefire agreement mediated by Trump in July.
Tensions escalated after a Thai soldier was injured by a Cambodian army landmine in November, prompting Thailand to declare the ceasefire invalid.
As of Tuesday night, the Cambodian Ministry of Defense reported nine deaths and twenty injuries in the clashes, while Thai officials reported four soldiers killed and 68 injured.
The renewed fighting between Thailand and Cambodia undermines Trump’s earlier claims of successfully ending eight wars, including the conflict between these two nations.
The resurgence of conflict highlights the apparent weakness in Trump’s assertions about establishing global peace through a show of strength.
