Turkey Ready to Deploy Forces to Gaza, Seeking Peaceful Resolution

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan stated in an interview with Al Jazeera that Turkey is working towards implementing the Gaza ceasefire agreement and is prepared to take necessary steps for its second phase.
Fidan stressed that certain clauses of the ceasefire agreement must be enforced, placing responsibility on Washington and President Donald Trump. He mentioned ongoing efforts with Qatar, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Egypt, and Jordan to advance the ceasefire.
The Turkish Foreign Minister outlined specific steps that Turkey expects to see, including the establishment of a peace council, the transfer of Gaza’s administration to Palestinians, and the creation of a Palestinian police force.
He affirmed Turkey’s willingness to exert every effort and assume all responsibilities to peacefully resolve the Palestinian issue. Fidan reiterated Turkey’s readiness to contribute to regional peace, including deploying forces if required, while expressing a desire for the Gaza ceasefire to progress naturally without alteration.
Addressing developments in Syria, Fidan said that Tel Aviv is preventing the global community from offering opportunities to the Syrian people and that Netanyahu seeks to bolster his power by exploiting the weaknesses of neighboring countries.
Fidan condemned the Israeli regime’s attacks on Syria and noted that the U.S. government’s lifting of the Caesar Act has played a role in removing obstacles to economic growth in Syria. He added that Turkey is in communication with the U.S. regarding Syria and Israel’s attacks on its territory.
The Foreign Minister voiced his hope that the Israeli regime will cease its expansionist policies and recognize that such policies only promote chaos.
