UN Security Council to Hold Emergency Session on Venezuela Crisis

The United Nations Security Council will convene an emergency session next Tuesday to address the ongoing crisis in Venezuela. The session follows recent actions by the U.S. military in the eastern Pacific Ocean.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, the UN Security Council is set to hold an emergency meeting regarding the Venezuelan crisis next Tuesday.

The Security Council’s session is scheduled after the U.S. military announced it targeted a vessel in the eastern Pacific Ocean earlier today, resulting in four fatalities.

In recent months, the U.S. military has reportedly destroyed numerous vessels off the coast of Latin America under the pretext of combating drug trafficking, leading to approximately 95 deaths.

Numerous countries have voiced support for the Venezuelan government’s efforts to safeguard its sovereignty against what they describe as excessive demands from U.S. President Donald Trump, urging Washington to de-escalate tensions with Caracas.
