Syrian Julani Forces Impose Curfew in Tartus Amid Widespread Protests

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Julani forces have imposed a curfew in Tartus, Syria, effective until 7 a.m. tomorrow. The move comes amid widespread protests in several Syrian cities, where demonstrators faced violent crackdowns by Julani forces, including live ammunition and melee weapons.
Local sources reported that Julani forces opened fire on protesters in Al-Zahari Square in Latakia, injuring several. Similar clashes occurred in Wadi al-Dhahab and Al-Zahra in Homs, where protesters were also attacked. Dozens were wounded in Al-Zahari Square after Julani forces used tear gas and stun grenades to disperse crowds.
The Syrian Human Rights Watch Center confirmed protests in Banias, Latakia, Jableh, and Homs, where pro-government supporters and Julani forces assaulted demonstrators. In Jableh, protesters were attacked with knives and cleavers, while gunfire was reported in the city’s outskirts. Julani forces also targeted journalists and activists, arresting several demonstrators in Homs and Latakia.
