Israeli Forces Detain Five Syrian Youths in Quneitra Raid

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, five Syrian youths were arrested by Israeli forces during a raid in the southern outskirts of Quneitra. The individuals, reportedly from Daraa province, were gathering wild mushrooms in agricultural fields near the settlement of Kodna when they were taken into custody.
The detainees have been transferred to the Tel Ahmar West military outpost, as confirmed by Syria’s official news agency, SANA. No further details about their current condition or legal status have been released.
This incident follows another recent operation where Israeli forces advanced to the outskirts of the settlement of Jbatha al-Khashab in northern Quneitra countryside last Saturday. Such military actions have become routine along the border areas near the occupied Golan Heights.
For years, Israeli forces have conducted regular arrests and raids in Quneitra’s southern agricultural lands, often targeting Syrian farmers and youths. These operations are justified under various pretexts, including alleged searches for natural resources or security concerns.
The repeated military interventions have raised serious concerns among local residents about their safety and well-being in the border areas.
