Turkey Arrests 357 ISIS Suspects in Nationwide Counter-Terrorism Operations

Turkish authorities have detained 357 individuals suspected of ISIS affiliation in simultaneous raids across 21 provinces, while Ankara’s chief prosecutor identified 17 others linked to the terrorist group’s activities in conflict zones.
According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Turkish Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya announced on Tuesday that police arrested 357 suspected ISIS members during coordinated counter-terrorism operations spanning 21 provinces. The Ankara Chief Prosecutor’s Office separately disclosed that 17 additional suspects had been identified for joining or fighting with the terrorist organization in active war zones, with 11 holding foreign nationalities. Investigations are ongoing at Ankara Security Directorate.
The crackdown follows a recent security operation in Yalova province, western Turkey, where Interior Minister Yerlikaya confirmed six ISIS terrorists were neutralized at the cost of three police fatalities and eight injuries.
