Rafah Crossing Reopens Following Israeli Regime Attacks Amid International Condemnation

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, the Rafah border crossing has been reopened following attacks by the Israeli regime on Gaza, which resulted in the martyrdom of several Palestinians. The decision has been met with condemnation from the European Union, as well as Arab and Islamic countries.
One day prior to the reopening, the Israeli military established a new security route named ‘Regevim’ to screen and control travelers entering Gaza via Egypt. The route, managed by Israeli security forces, aims to enhance security surveillance in the region.
The Israeli regime stated that the reopening of the Rafah crossing is being conducted in phases as a trial, in coordination with the European Union mission, Egypt, and other relevant entities. Palestinians who left Gaza during the conflict may return after coordinating with Egypt and receiving security clearance from the Israeli regime.
Hazem Qassem, a spokesperson for Hamas, warned against any obstruction or conditions imposed by the Israeli regime on the Rafah crossing and called on mediators and guarantor countries to monitor the regime’s actions.
The reopening of the Rafah crossing will facilitate the transfer of wounded and sick individuals out of Gaza for medical treatment. Adnan Abu Hasna, a media advisor for UNRWA, confirmed that the World Health Organization will oversee the transportation of patients through the crossing.
