Military Experts Doubt Effectiveness of THAAD System Against Ballistic Missiles

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, military experts have expressed significant doubts about the effectiveness of the THAAD (Terminal High Altitude Area Defense) system in intercepting ballistic missiles. A report by the American publication Military Watch, citing published data, revealed these concerns amid ongoing advancements in hypersonic missile technology by Russia, China, and North Korea.
Russia Today reported that the U.S. military deployed over 150 THAAD interceptors during Iran’s retaliatory response to the Zionist regime’s aggression. The operation, which lasted 11 days, cost an estimated $2 billion, despite Iran not utilizing its full missile capacity.
The THAAD system, used alongside other Israeli missile defense systems, failed to provide comprehensive coverage over all occupied territories. American sources acknowledged that Israeli military and strategic targets sustained significant damage during the conflict.
