Trump Accuses Canada of ‘Unfair’ Trade Practices, Warns Against China Deal

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, U.S. President Donald Trump has launched a series of sharp criticisms against Canada, alleging long-standing unfair treatment of the United States.
Trump asserted that the situation is rapidly changing to benefit the U.S., attacking former President Barack Obama for granting what he called a “foolish” waiver to Canada that allowed them to circumvent the “Buy American” law. This, Trump claimed, resulted in the exclusion of American products, including steel.
“The Canadian government expects me, as President of the United States, to allow them to simply take advantage of America. What does America get in return? Absolutely nothing,” Trump stated.
Turning to Canada’s foreign policy, Trump cautioned against trade deals with China. “The Prime Minister of Canada wants to make a deal with China, a country that will completely devour Canada, leaving us with only crumbs. I will not accept such a thing,” he declared.
Addressing tariffs, Trump described Canada’s long-standing tariffs on American dairy products as unacceptable, placing U.S. farmers at serious financial risk. Trump also addressed a planned bridge between the U.S. and Canada, stating, “I will not allow the opening of this bridge unless America receives full compensation for everything we have given to Canada.”
Trump concluded by stating, “Canada must treat America with fairness and the respect we deserve.”
