NATO Secretary General Claims Russia Suffered 35,000 Casualties in Two Months

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Jens Stoltenberg, the Secretary General of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO), presented contentious claims against both Russia and China during his address at the Munich Security Conference.
Stoltenberg asserted that Russia endured significant military setbacks during the months of January and February, alleging that Moscow lost approximately 35,000 military personnel. He further minimized any operational successes claimed by Moscow, describing their advances on fronts such as Donetsk as extremely limited.
The NATO chief framed the current security situation as “absolute madness,” noting that European nations are presently focused on bolstering their own defenses. Stoltenberg maintained that NATO stands stronger than ever and dismissed the notion of a potential future offensive action by Russia.
Emphasizing the necessity of security guarantees, Stoltenberg stressed the importance of continually reinforcing the Ukrainian military to ensure its capacity for self-defense. He claimed that the coalition of supporting nations is exerting maximum effort to prevent a recurrence of Russian aggression following any potential peace accord, adding that 97 percent of the required security assurances have reportedly been secured.
In his remarks, Stoltenberg specifically targeted the People’s Republic of China, labeling it the “main entity circumventing sanctions.” He further alleged that Beijing, in concert with Minsk, has played a substantial role in supporting Russia’s military operations.
