Unprecedented Tension in Netanyahu Cabinet Following Trump’s Attack on Israeli President Herzog

Unprecedented tension has erupted between Israeli President Isaac Herzog and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu following harsh statements directed at Herzog by U.S. President Donald Trump, prompting questions about Netanyahu’s potential instigation.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, unprecedented friction has emerged within the Israeli leadership following sharp comments made by United States President Donald Trump against Isaac Herzog, the President of the Israeli regime. This development has reportedly created severe tension between Herzog and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

The Israeli newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth reported that Herzog is demanding an explanation from Netanyahu, seeking to determine if Netanyahu’s provocations were the catalyst for these “insolent remarks,” which are said to have dealt a significant blow to the sovereignty of the Israeli regime.

Sources close to Herzog informed the publication that if it is confirmed that Netanyahu was behind the statements and deliberately provoked Trump, it would demonstrate that the Prime Minister has crossed critical red lines.

Yedioth Ahronoth further differentiated between legitimate criticism and outright insult, characterizing Trump’s remarks as offensive. Associates of the Israeli President have expressed a strong desire to understand whether Netanyahu was involved in orchestrating Trump’s harsh verbal assault against Herzog.

Trump’s unprecedented attack on Herzog occurred just one day after the U.S. President met with Netanyahu in Washington. Trump stated that Herzog should be ashamed for refusing to pardon Netanyahu in his ongoing legal proceedings. Trump notably praised Netanyahu during the conflict, describing him as a very good Prime Minister and asserting, “He was very strong, and we worked great with him.” Trump concluded by saying, “As you know, there is a president in Israel who refuses to grant him a pardon in his current trial. I think it is a shame.”
