Egyptian Series on Gaza Sparks Outrage in Israel

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, the initial two episodes of the Egyptian series ‘Sahab Al-Ard,’ which premiered during the holy month of Ramadan and portray some of the Israeli regime’s transgressions against the Gaza Strip, have provoked the ire of the Israeli regime.
The Israeli Broadcasting Authority, in a comprehensive report on the series, emphasized that the conflict in Gaza is depicted in a manner that does not present Israel in a positive light and is one-sided. Israeli Channel 12 television strongly criticized the series, alleging that Egypt is attempting to improve its image and that the series is purely a political move.
Prior to the series’ broadcast, the newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth had expressed concerns about its content, writing that the series could negatively influence public opinion, particularly concerning the issue of children in the Gaza Strip and the Israeli army’s treatment of them, given its potential to reach millions of viewers.
The series has also been translated into English. ‘Sahab Al-Ard’ addresses the humanitarian crisis faced by the residents of the Gaza Strip following Israeli regime attacks against the territory. The series stars Iyad Nassar as a Palestinian father and Menna Shalaby as an Egyptian doctor.
