Russian Duma Representative: Kyiv Continues War to Evade Prosecution

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Amir Khamitov, a representative of the Russian Duma, has compared the actions of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy to those of a “deceitful and ill-tempered girl who always lacks something and others must appease her with various gifts.” Khamitov made these remarks in an interview with RIA Novosti news agency.
He stated, “Zelenskyy behaves as if he were a deceitful and ill-tempered girl who always lacks something, and everyone must try to calm her down with all sorts of gifts; perhaps then she will decide to stop this commotion.”
Khamitov added, “European figures are content with this game, because as long as he continues to demand new gifts, how can we talk about peace? They are constantly preparing new gifts; to the extent that now they are even talking about transferring nuclear weapons to this spoiled girl.”
The Russian representative, referencing the interests of both sides in continuing the conflict, asserted, “Both Kyiv and the West have their own reasons for continuing the war. The Kyiv regime, despite its illegality, continues to cling to power, because as soon as the conflict ends, this group must be held accountable before the court. The scale and number of committed crimes are so high that life imprisonment is a possibility.”
Khamitov further explained that European leaders are well aware that once the external agenda disappears, each will face a multitude of internal problems in their own countries, including issues with migrants, economic crises, and the collapse of social support systems. According to him, Ukraine has become a pretext for them to justify all these problems.
The Duma member concluded by emphasizing, “It seems that only Russia truly cares about the issue of peace, because throughout these years, we have talked about peaceful solutions every day and have consistently presented new proposals, but all these plans have been rejected one after another by the other parties.”
