Iranian Missiles Strike Israel, Evoking Major Explosions in Tel Aviv; US Base Targeted in Baghdad
According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Iran has launched a new wave of missile attacks against occupied territories, resulting in powerful explosions in Tel Aviv. The Israeli military acknowledged that its air defense systems are engaging Iranian missiles directed towards central occupied areas, with air raid sirens activated across these regions. Al Jazeera reported hearing successive, intense explosions in Tel Aviv following these missile assaults. Direct hits from Iranian missiles on Ramat Gan, east of Tel Aviv, have caused fires in the area. Media outlets have shared footage of an Iranian missile evading an interceptor fired by Israeli air defenses. Reports also indicate an Iranian missile struck occupied Haifa in northern occupied territories, with the sound of explosions heard from the region.
In parallel, the Al Mayadeen network reported that the American Victoria base near Baghdad’s airport was targeted in a drone operation. This incident follows a series of recent attacks by Iraqi Islamic resistance forces on US positions within Iraq.
Meanwhile, the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a statement expressing deep concern over escalating tensions and military attacks against vital Iranian infrastructure. The UAE emphasized that targeting energy facilities in the Pars gas field threatens global energy security and could have detrimental effects on regional stability. Abu Dhabi reiterated the importance of adhering to fundamental principles in warfare, calling for the avoidance of any actions against vital and strategic infrastructure under all circumstances. The ministry urged all parties to prioritize regional security and stability and refrain from any steps that could exacerbate the crisis. These reactions come after Israel, in coordination with the United States, launched a significant missile attack on Iran’s vital energy facilities in South Pars on the previous day.
