Trump Makes Conflicting Claims on Ceasefire Deal with Iran

U.S. President Donald Trump has issued contradictory statements regarding a potential ceasefire agreement with Iran, claiming differing terms for sanctions relief and military actions.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, U.S. President Donald Trump has made a series of conflicting assertions concerning the specifics of a proposed ceasefire agreement between Iran and the United States. Trump stated that he was convening in the “Situation Room to make a final decision on Iran.”

He further claimed that “Iran’s maritime blockade will be lifted now,” while simultaneously asserting that “no money will be exchanged between the parties until further notice.”

Donald Trump, who has consistently presented contradictory claims about warfare, ceasefires, and their terms, now alleges that Iran’s enriched materials will be exported by the United States. He stated that an agreement has been reached for the U.S., in conjunction with China, to possess the mechanical capability to facilitate this process.

These latest claims by Trump emerge at a time when Iran has categorically rejected the inclusion of nuclear negotiations in the current round, emphasizing that this issue is negotiable only after a ceasefire agreement and the lifting of sanctions on Iran.

While Iran has repeatedly stressed that the Strait of Hormuz remains open under “Iran’s intelligent management,” allowing passage for non-hostile vessels and oil tankers, the U.S. President continued his assertions by stating, “The Strait of Hormuz must be reopened immediately, without tariffs; and naval mines in the Strait of Hormuz must be cleared to allow free passage of ships in both directions.”
