Yemeni Forces Strike Saudi Oil Tanker in Red Sea, Conduct Two Other Operations

Yemen’s armed forces announced on Tuesday that they successfully targeted a Saudi enemy oil tanker in the northern Red Sea with a ballistic missile, and conducted two separate military operations resulting in significant damage and casualties for Saudi forces.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Yemeni armed forces spokesperson Yahya Saree announced that his forces successfully targeted the Saudi enemy oil tanker ‘Amzan’ in the northern Red Sea off the coast of Yanbu with a ballistic missile. Saree stated that the precise and direct strike caused the tanker to catch fire and prompted several other vessels in the vicinity to flee. This operation, he explained, is part of the armed forces’ decision to implement a maritime blockade against the Saudi enemy and establish the principle of reciprocal siege.

Saree also reported that Yemeni armed forces successfully carried out two other military operations. The first operation targeted a Saudi gathering point in the Al Abr and Al Wadea areas, described as a large column carrying military equipment. This attack utilized ballistic missiles and drones, resulting in the destruction of over ten trucks laden with weapons and ammunition that were reportedly intended for use against Yemen. The second operation involved targeting a Saudi enemy troop concentration in the Al Kanais region with several ballistic missiles and drones, leading to dozens of enemy casualties, including commanders and officers, and the destruction of several ammunition and weapons depots.

The Yemeni armed forces spokesperson reiterated their commitment to continuing the maritime blockade against the Saudi enemy in the designated operational area, in accordance with the policy of reciprocal siege and comprehensive escalation. Saree affirmed the readiness of the armed forces to respond to any escalation with stronger, more intense attacks and larger, more extensive operations.

In a separate announcement, Yahya Saree congratulated the Yemeni people and the Arab and Islamic nations on the occasion of the Prophet Muhammad’s birthday and invited the citizens to participate in commemorations across designated areas the following day.
