Israel Claims Airstrike in Jenin, Palestinian Fighters Reportedly Killed

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, The Israeli army claimed on Friday to have targeted a group of Palestinian fighters in the city of Jenin in the West Bank. The Israeli regime also asserted that it had assassinated two commanders from Hamas and Islamic Jihad movements in two separate attacks in the Gaza Strip on Thursday. Following the attack in Jenin, located north of the West Bank, the Israeli regime deployed additional soldiers to the area. Subsequent reports indicated that three individuals were martyred in this operation, and the Israeli regime allegedly prevented rescue forces from reaching the site.

The Prime Minister of the Israeli regime claimed after the assassinations that occupying forces had thwarted attack plans against Israel in Jenin. Hours after the Israeli regime’s airstrike on a vehicle in Jenin, north of the West Bank, the army claimed that Qais Al-Baytavi, a commander of the Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas, and two of his deputies were targeted. The Qassam Brigades have not yet responded to these claims. Qais Al-Baytavi, who was martyred along with two companions in the Israeli regime’s operation in Jenin, had written in his last social media post: ‘My comrade, know that true victory lies in God choosing you as a martyr and a mujahid for His cause, and that you are martyred in defense of His religion and in repelling oppression against the downtrodden.’
